Could 12 months have gone by that fast? It seems like just yesterday Kristin and I were comparing pregnancy woes and counting the days until our munchkins arrived. Would they ever????
Ava and Hope did arrive however and just weeks apart. At the time I thought that was pretty great… I had no idea just how great it actually was! The girls have now spent this first year of their life together through weekly play dates. And I have survived and thrived happily partly due to the play dates and the daily phone calls to Kristin. All those silly motherhood questions, daily adventures and frustrations we were able to experience together. No one else quite understands or appreciates such things like another mother.
This past weekend was Hope’s first birthday party. It was amazing to watch them interacting, excited and enjoying one another. All the stages that have come and gone and all the stages that have yet to arrive…
Happy Birthday Hope! Here is to many more years of friendship…

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.

The girls are so cute together. I cannot wait to meet Kristin and Hope at Ava’s birthday party. I am so happy that you have such a good friend to share all of your hopes, dreams, questions and concerns with! Very important!
Love, Mom
Seriously. And it seems like not that long ago I was at your baby shower! How wonderful that you’ve had each other. It is so true that no one can quite understand like another mom.
Now that I’m a mom, and that others in my neighborhood see me as a mom, I’ve been invited to join an every Friday Mom/Baby play date on my block that I never knew existed! Unfortunately it is right during Chloe’s noon nap-time, but I’m thinking it will be so worth it.
