It was about a week ago when I was down in Portland visiting my friend Emily that I heard about culture passes. She is member of the Beaverton Public Library, just outside of Portland, OR. Her library has these incredible things called culture passes. You check them out just as you would a book (although only for the day). They are passes for several cultural stops around the city, YES, free passes in other words to experience the culture of Portland; Portland Children’s Museum, Japanese Gardens, Portland Art Museum etc). Of course just like a book they have to be available…but how incredibly cool is that!!!
Sadly such things do not seem to exist in the Seattle area…perhaps someday! I did discover that is all of Washington County Oregon that has access to these passes. So if you are a Portlander…ENJOY!
Next time Em…!!!
