We finally ended our photography session filled day at the park.  Our daily jaunt out to exercise Lola resulted in some of my favorite pictures of the day.  I just love the pigtails and isn’t that sweater to die for!!!!  In the end Ava is no doubt a beautiful baby!  All the other contestants should just fold, right??!!!

There is something about this picture I love... chin chop and all!

Love those big brown eyes!

Such a big girl; running, climbing and swinging all by herself!

ALL DONE...NO more pictures, Mom!!!!

OK so in search of more smiles we headed to the bed.  Ava is one little monkey who loves jumping.  It is usually a sure fire way to capture, smiles, fun and maybe even that mischievous twinkle that I see so often!!!

presenting: My little Monkey!

Smiles, Smiles everywhere!!!!  And even the mischievous twinkle…I love this kid!

It is once again time for Regis and Kelly’s beautiful baby contest.  The grand prize winner receives $100,000 scholarship. Can you imagine… how wonderful would that be!  I figure why not enter.  The photo guidelines state that the picture should be less than a month old, a headshot, and child engaged with the camera.  So her it goes:  one day, lots of pictures and three sessions… here is the first attempt!  The result:  some great Ava faces…. I just love the kissy face!  Just look at those lips!!!!

I also got a great smile but not quite the head shot I was going for…

I have no idea how to quote another blog… but I found this quote and pic on tutus and turtles and had to share… As a former teacher this is so true I cannot stress the importance of language and word play enough!

Rhymers will be readers; it’s that simple.  Experts in literacy and child development have discovered that if a child knows eight nursery rhymes by heart by the time they are four years old, they are usually among the best readers by the time they are eight. ~Mem Fox

What a Little Hippie

So those signs “No shirt, No shoes, No service.” Deffinitly do not apply to Ava… at least in her world. Her shoes and socks are off seconds after buckling her into her car seat, walking into the house or yes, even the grocery cart! Ah, it is driving me crazy!  At least her little toes could not be any cuter!!!  MMmmmm I could eat them up!!!

Ever since Lola came home from the groomers last week Ava has refered to her as, “pretty Lola.”  It is the sweetest thing ever!  Here is pretty Lola on her throne.  Some nights there is hardly room for Larry and I!  Pay no attention to my crooked pictures!!!

Green Toys dump truck

Ava has a new passion… transportation. Really, it started about two weeks ago with an obsession with trucks. She would watch for them in the car and run to the window when ever she heard one outside. The reversing beep sound is her favorite. If you ask her what sound a truck makes she says, “vroom, vroom, beep, beep, beep!” Then just last week I scored a Melissa and Doug transportation wood puzzle at the resale store.  It even makes sounds when you put the pieces in their homes.  She LOVES it!!!  This weekend we added one more toy to compliment this interest, the green toys dump truck.  We fill and empty the truck several times a day!  Oh, my little girl… I love that she likes trucks!!!
